Today, we shop!
Oh, I’m sure you’ve already picked up a thing or two (or three or four or five).
It seems like there’s a lot that you need to buy to prepare for your baby, and truthfully, there is a fair bit. However, within a big ol’ list there are a lot of things that you can hold off buying until your baby is born.
While it may seem hard to wait that long (especially as you’re nesting, I get it, Mama) it can save you loads of money in the long run. Fortunately, we live in the day and age of Amazon and it’s beautiful service of doorstep delivery!
This is a list of everything that you’re going to need for your baby:
Things you will need before your baby comes:
-Breast pump (if you’ve decided to pump)
-Formula (if you’ve decided to formula feed)
-Place for baby to sleep
-Postpartum care products
Things that are highly recommended you get before your baby comes:
Things you may find you need after your baby arrives:
-Soft structure baby carrier (like an Ergo) to use once baby has outgrown the stretchy wrap
-Pack and play
-Go through this list and cross off things you absolutely don’t need. Say for example you know you won’t be pumping, you don’t need even need to have it as a consideration!
-Keep the list handy, too, for when someone asks you what you need. Crossing everything off the list can help you feel majorly prepared for when your baby arrives.
